As I watched news of a destroyed building in Beirut I was mistaken thinking I saw an abstract painting instead of a report of an IDF bombing. The image had stuck in my head until I released it on the large canvas. The hands are obvious indicators of trauma but look for two applications of Palestinian Arabic text proclaiming... "Ceasefire now".
